Forever 21 is a trendy clothing store that is very popular with teens. One aspect of the company that some people have failed to notice (including me), is that at the bottom of every shopping back you will find the words from John 3:16. The verse reads, verse reads, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” The gesture is subtle but it is one that really reflects the values of the owners and their faith and is able to clearly show Forever 21 as one of many Christian based companies.
The bible verse on their shopping bags is not the only of evangelism for Forever 21. Every season, Forever 21 makes it a goal to be selling cross necklaces, Christian apparel, graphic tees with slogans, and angel wing embellished jackets. Forever 21 makes it as apparent as possible to show that anything that is a faith based line is not just to be seen as a fashionable trend, but to carry meaning and evangelism.
One thing that I personally think that Forever could be doing a little better is that they should be marketing their company a bit better because I did not know that was Forever 21 was a faith based company. I was looking into articles and did not even realize they had a bible verse on their shopping bags for when you make a purchase, I just remember that they are a bright yellow. But there were many testimonies from employees and customers that have expressed their appreciation and their notice for the effort that Forever 21 has made to make sure that they are to be known as a evangelistic clothing and accessories store. So, Forever 21 must be able to reach some of the population which is the goal.
