Zac Brown – Summer camp

Zac Brown is known for country hits and sold out shows, but a huge part of his story is what he does off stage to give back to others. At the center of that is Camp Southern Ground, a place he built from the ground up to put more good into the world.

Camp Southern Ground sits on hundreds of acres in Georgia and runs as an inclusive summer camp for kids ages seven to seventeen. During the summer you will see kids of all capabilities and backgrounds sharing cabins and campfires including kids with autism learning differences or economic challenges and children from military families. The whole idea is simple but powerful, give every kid a place where they are welcomed, challenged, and believed in.

When summer ends the mission keeps going. The property flips into a place of rest and reset for veterans and their families, offering programs that focus on connection, purpose, and mental well being after military service. Zac has been recognized for this steady commitment to veterans, including honors from veteran support groups that see the real impact of those programs in everyday lives.

What is cool is that Zac does not just lend his name then walk away. He helps power the camp by taking money from every concert ticket and pouring it back into Camp Southern Ground and by hosting special benefit events that raise serious money for youth and veteran programs. Fans might show up for the music but they leave knowing their night out helped a kid or a veteran find hope, community, and a fresh start.

In a world where giving back can feel like a slogan, Zac Brown has turned his success into something real and lasting, building a place where kids and veterans can heal grow and remember they matter. And he has done this since the very beginning of his career.
