Life Again Organic Cafe is a healthy cafe with 8 different locations across the East Coast. The cafe started in 2004, humbly serving organic whole foods in a calming atmosphere. Next, they took the time to listen to the feedback of their customers, who proclaimed that eating at Life Again made them feel energized.
The founders took these comments to heart, investigating the connection between wholesome organic food and how it effects the whole person. They came up with the phrase, “eating positively”, which became their missional statement. The goal being to eat in a way that nourishes the body and respects the environment.
This is not a Christian or faith-based business. I chose to write about this cafe because I believe it does have redemptive qualities. I admire their pledge to serve wholesome and nutritious food that benefits the human body while also taking care of the earth through sustainable farming practices.
I think more Christian food businesses should give greater thought to feeding customers food that God intended for us to eat. Many faith-based food businesses seem to pay no attention to the effects that food has on the human body and mind, which I believe is a problem.
