This semester I was able to help a business called Jesus Loves You Ball design a new platform for their user experience in one of my Design classes. Our team met the founder, Isaac, and heard about his journey as a redemptive entrepreneur and missionary. Isaac learned how to combine his passion for soccer with his passion for sharing the Gospel, leading to the founding of a business called Jesus Loves You Ball.
Jesus Loves You Ball uses sports as a cultural bridge for sharing the Gospel. Sports can bring people together from all different cultures, faith backgrounds, and walks of life. They sell simple sports balls as a tool to open up further conversations about faith in Jesus Christ. The ball has the words “Jesus Loves You” written on it in over 70 languages. Although a simple message, this ball has reached over 97 countries, has had over 1,000,000 Gospel exposures, partnered with over 3,000 local churches, and inspired over 100,000 decisions for Christ.
Through the words, “Jesus Loves You”, coaches and missionaries are encouraged to ask their players questions like, “Do you believe that Jesus loves you?” or, “Who is Jesus to you?” These questions supply the missionary and coach with an opportunity to share the Gospel story with those who have not yet decided to follow Jesus.
I really admire how Isaac found a way to combine his love for sports with his love for the Lord and his passion for missions. The impact that the Jesus Loves You Ball has had across the world is amazing!
