When I think of other Christian influencers who are making advances in the area of digital ministry, I also think of Mike Malagies. Who is Mike Malagies and why is he paving a way in digital ministry? Well, Mike is a Christian influencer and a music artist who is from Florida. He started gaining a huge following after releasing songs such as “Finally Found” and “Only Way”. His Instagram following has over 2 million followers with over 4,000 posts. He mostly focuses on sharing encouragement, prayer, and how to relate Christ to our everyday lives. Some of his most popular videos talk about trusting God, overcoming anxiety, and even finding our own identities through Christ and not the world.
Mike has even described himself as a “Christian creative entrepreneur whose goal is to spread the Gospel in a contextualized way on socials.”
I like when Mike’s videos pop up on my Instagram feed because they always brighten my day with knowing more about God and His character. Mike Malagies has a lot of videos that are relatable and make his viewers see God in different ways that they never would’ve realized. I like this approach of making the gospel easier to understand and relatable because that reaches more people and makes it easier for people to become curious of learning more about Christianity. I also like how he relates Christianity back to his own life because you can see how God really is with us throughout our whole lives and not just only in the big moments.
With Mike using his platform to spread the gospel, he also helps to strengthen the faith of others or even inspire people to chase their own faith. He also tries to be redemptive by operating his music career outside of the major label structure so that he has the freedom to stay authentic and creative with his songs.
