I think Krochet Kids buisness is having a kingdom impact on the world because they are empowering people to rise above poverty. Krochet kids started in Uganda 2007 which many of the hats they sell today are still being made in the same community. They have five main topics of their story which are the craft, a dream, an opportunity, a growing community, and a reality. I think this business it doing an amazing job having a kingdom impact by giving people jobs, and caring for them.

  • The Craft
    • It all started when the founder’s older brother taught how to crochet. Shortly after the crochet skills were passed to friends Travis and Stewart. Not to long their creations caught the attention of classmates and it began with customer orders and selling the crocheted products
  • A Dream
    • They were all college students at different schools so during the summer breaks they volunteered in various developing nations. Doing that they were hoping to gain better understanding of the global community. They reach out in love, to make a difference, that is their story
  • An Opportunity
    • Stewart eventually told them about people that have been living in government camps for over the past 20 years, due to a rebel army. Many generations grew up only knowing the camp and relying on the government. They realized that crocheting to be the most profound quality. It would be a huge opportunity for the community to be paid in a fair way while it would allow them to provide for their families.
  • A Growing Community
    • The krochet kids idea grew quickly to incorporate their close friends who shared the desire to see Northern Uganda transformed by just yarn and a hook. As they watched these ladies master crocheting before their eyes, there was a abundance of happy tears.
  • A Reality
    • Krochet Kids has continued to grow in many ways which they never imagined since the start in 2007. Since then they have been able to employ hundred of people in Uganda and Peru.
