There are many companies or non-profits that are very influential and there are some that are unfortunately not. One of these non-profits that are in fact influential and make a notable change is GAIN also known as Global Aid Network.
GAIN is a Christian non-profit that is interested in international relief and development. This non-profit has an emphasis on sharing the gospel through showing compassion to hurting people living in injustice and poverty around the world. GAIN was founded in Canada in 1998 specifically to support those in need around the world in a Christlike way.
Global Aid Network has various initiatives that aid those in need around the world. They provide the ability to volunteer and help with the operations of providing aid around the world. I have been a part of several volunteer initiatives where we go down to their warehouse and do various things to help. Some things we did help with were to help vacuum seal bags of beans, sort clothes, make gospel bracelets, and much more. This was a good experience and allowed people on the outside to come into the operation and inspire them to help more physically and monetarily. Some other initiatives include not discriminating between those in need and helping them all. GAIN has made it clear on their website that they are not interested in if you differ in gender, orientation, race, age, and religion. They are interested in helping you if you are in need. Another initiative is empowering the local church and partner with them to improve neighboring communities and also the communities globally.
There are countless companies and non-profits that attempt to help, some succeed and some fail. In this case, GAIN, or Global Aid Network, has succeeded and continues to succeed in providing support to those who are suffering and are in need around the world.
