Evangel Ministries is based out of a Church in Detroit. This ministry has worked to see the unsaved people in poverty of Detroit not as a problem but as a solution. The ministry has partnered with local colleges and universities to help these less fortunate people learn how better manage their money, make investments, and even start their own businesses. Due to the overall success of the ministry they can now help and invest in these people’s new business ventures. This not only helps adults but also middle schoolers and high schoolers who are never really taught how to properly use their money for the future.

Not only is Evangel Ministries proving people in need with business knowledge and potential jobs, but in the process they also are able to do the most important thing of all, share the gospel. As one of the leaders of the ministry shares in the video below, people tend to be quite open to hearing about your faith when you are providing them with opportunity and a job. This truly is a new and exciting way to serve God and bring potential new believers into the Church.

The ministry does not stop there as they also are able to provide often needed food to these people through a partnership with a grocery store right across the street. This partnership allows the ministry to not only provide people with knowledge but also a full stomach that they may not always be so fortunate to have. Evangel Ministries truly is a entrepreneurial twist to a church ministry that allows many people who may not usually be reached by the Church to become better equipped for the world around them and have the opportunity to come to know Christ, who is the greatest gift of all.
