Crown Financial Ministries is an all-around financial group with a Christian focus, for Christian people. Their goal is to provide financial help through advising. Specifically, Crown focuses on budgeting and spending, career and work, debt, family and finances, economy and investing, generosity, and saving. They have found a way to bring finances and Christianity together where many think that they cannot mix. However, Crown has been able to approach financial advising with stewardship at the forefront, ensuring that Christians are stewardesses of God’s financial blessings.
Matthew 6:24 says, “No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.” Christians often read this passage and interpret it as not being mindful of money in the slightest. However, while we should not focus intently on money, we should still think about finances to ensure we are stewards of what we are blessed with.
Crown has achieved a redemptive business model by focusing on Christ and what he calls us to do with our finances. They have made others successful by advising them in a Christ-centered way. So many people have been positively influenced by their services. Their website, www.crown.org, has plenty of testimonies on how peoples’ lives were changed by Crown’s work. They also show redemptive entrepreneurship by aiming to help others before they help themselves. Their focus is on the consumer, not what they make out of the transaction. A third redemptive approach they take is allowing people to donate to help others and their financial difficulties.
Crown Financial Ministries is a great company with a big redemptive focus. They aim to help people get back on track with their finances. In the process, they actively maintain Biblical principles by not worshipping money, but instead ensuring people are being stewardesses of God’s blessings.
