A familiar place that people talk about when people go to Grove City is Collage Coffee. Collage was started in 2017 by 2 Grove City College graduates. It’s been open to the public ever since. A lot of Grovers go to college to study, to go on first dates, just to hang out with their friends or professors. They make use of the space whatever way they can. Being from Grove city means that I’ve gone to Collage since I was in high school. It’s been a great place for me and my friends to hang out and chat for the past six years. The owners weren’t initially entrepreneurs, but they decided to go on a whim and buy the coffee shop. The owners, who are devout Christians themselves, create an environment for college students, and people in the community to come and enjoy coffee together. Not only is it just a coffee shop for the people that community go to, I’ve seen countless relationships through Younglife me at Collage and help high schoolers meet the Lord. The owner is making this productive, entrepreneurship benefits the community in so many ways. A coffee shop is an everyday place where somebody can hear the gospel. Collage is an awesome place that me and my friends have cherished for years. I’m sure countless Grove City college students can also tell you their stories of being at Collage. Having a redemptive business in my hometown is a great feeling. It’s always a place I can rely on and go to discuss and just talk to my friends if I need to. I feel like I have personable relationships with the workers even to the point where I can walk in and then know my order. Collage is a special place, not only to me, but to Grove City as a whole.
