BAM

I wanted to explore more the concept of business as mission. BAM as an organization aids in creating redemptively minded for-profit businesses dedicated to helping vulnerable people and committed to the kingdom of God. The organization has thousands of resources available to enable business owners to allow the work of their business to be focused on the kingdom of God. Not only do they have a lot of resources, but they have tons of graphics and videos explaining what their organization does and how people can be a part of it. Overall, I found them to be well organized and clear about their purpose. BAM also provides a network for businesses who are invested in building God’s kingdom. 

My dad has inspired me in this area. My dad, ever since graduating college, has been an entrepreneur. In recent years, however, I have seen him desire to grow in his desire to see the advancement of the kingdom and for his businesses to have a greater purpose than just making money. He started a bible study with his employees and regularly invites them to come to church with him. He has always had a heart for missions and as he approaches retirement, I would love to see him use his entrepreneurial skills on the mission field. Even now, I can already see the Lord working and moving in his heart to push him towards more.
