As I was going through the praxis website I stumbled across this Dollar For. Founded by Jared Walker, Dollar For aims to “crush medical bills and empower patients. Nonprofit hospitals are required to have charity care policies. Dollar For enforces them. Most people don’t know these exist, and that means millions of Americans are on payment plans or declaring bankruptcy for medical bills they do not have to pay. Sometimes, all someone needs are the tools to advocate for themselves. Other times, a person needs someone to do the work for them. Dollar For does both.”

From my own family experience medical bills of this magnitude are difficult to handle. For many underprivileged American homes, these medical bills are even more significant. Many folks conditions are out of their own control and having to pay exorbitant amounts of money for something like that is terribly unfortunate.

Because of the work that Dollar For does, relief is possible for people who have outstanding medical bills. You fill out a form, and then Dollar For makes sure that you qualify for assistance from the health care system. If the patient does qualify, then Dollar For acts as a liaison between the patient and the hospital. Dollar For does edifying work that brings hope to many who have been hit with the pain of medical bills after already incurring the pain of medical damage. Praise God for ventures like this.
