Rock City Church in Columbus, Ohio is a faith-based community that we discussed in class for their modern approach and tremendous growth. However, the church’s approach to ministry and outreach is innovative in its own way.

One example of Rock City Church’s innovative approach is its use of technology to reach a wider audience. The church offers live streaming of its services and events, allowing people from around the world to participate in the worship experience. Due to the pandemic a lot of churches were forced to go to online services and some adapted better than others. Rock City was in a position to adapt and did so in practical ways a key element to running both a church and business.

Another example of innovation at Rock City Church is its commitment to community outreach. The church partners with local organizations and businesses to serve the needs of the community, such as providing food and clothing to those in need, called Dream centers as well as prison ministry and local outreach. By actively seeking ways to serve others and meet their needs through a church branch, Rock City Church is demonstrating an innovative approach to ministry that goes beyond traditional approaches other churches take. They are willing to go into the communities and culture of unbelievers.
