WWJD – What Would Jesus Do

WWJD – What Would Jesus Do

There is this bracelet that I am sure that many of you have seen students on Grove City College campus wear. They are WWJD bracelets, What Would Jesus Do. This is a question that could be applied to any and all life situations. Many people not even just Christians have adopted this method of testing whether or not they should be taking certain actions. I think that the bracelet has a good message but it is also something that the gen Z could easily take interest in. Gen Z has a liking for cool gear and things that have hidden meanings. Other good tactics of the WWJD bracelets is that they are cheap, simple, and they also come in packs. The purpose of them coming in packs is not so that you keep them all to yourself but so that you share the message and the purpose of those four letters on the bracelet. One of out purposes on earth as Christians, is to spread the gospel and encourage others to follow God in hopes that they fully commit their life to him.

WWJD bracelets are sold by many different companies including Elevated Faith and He Would Love First, both are Christian based businesses. I have personally bought multiple packs of these bracelets and given them to a lot of my friends to spread Gods word and the mission behind the WWJD bracelets.

  1. Good word! I agree with everything you had to say, especially that Gen Z loves new and trendy merch. I definitely saw that first hand when coaching kids in the summer. It took me by surprise how many people wore these bracelets and openly talked about it. I think it is an awesome brand and it makes it all the better by how simple and cheap the product is.

    1. GenZ can certainly be very fickle when it comes to religiously being approached, so something subtle like this can appeal to current Christians, and be subtle enough to have people compliment and ask about what it means, which can spark good conversations. People don’t need to have multinational corporations that can fund charities or do something large scale in order to make a difference. Thank you for writing this post!

  2. These bracelets are like the mark of being a Christian nowadays. They are such good reminders of the fact we strive to live like Jesus. I think they are also such good conversation starters too and I’ve had amazing conversations explaining the gospel through a bracelet I wear every day. The more people see Jesus the more likely they will be willing to follow him and something simple like this can change people’s eternities.

  3. These bracelets are really great, one thing that I like is when people have ideas that branch off of the original WWJD. The original WWJD can sometimes have a negative stereotype that comes along with wearing the bracelet. I see that the company that produces these bracelets has had great success, I just fear that sometimes the mission of the company can get watered down and diluted.

  4. I have seen these all around campus. In fact, my roommate has one that he constantly has on. GenZ seems to love these and it is a passive way of expressing your faith to others. While it is no flashy t-shirt or obvious piece of clothing, it can be a conversation starter to unbelievers and a way to plant a seed.
