Tim Tebow was a collegiate super star. The story of the 2009 Florida Gators football team is an incredible one. They had NFL stars, murderers, other players that went to prison and some serious thugs. In the heart of it all, was there Christian leader, Tim Tebow. Before his national championship game, Tebow said god spoke to him and led him to write John 3:16 on his eye black. During the big game, “John 3:16” was googled by 94 million people. In a sport full of aggression and many non-Christians, Tim was able to be a shining light for God. Tim currently has the Tim Tebow Foundation whose mission is to bring Faith, Hope, and Love to those needing a brighter day in their darkest hour of need. They serve children and sharing Gods love for those who cannot fight for themselves. In 2019, he partnered with 655 churches in 24 countries to bring 100,000 kids together with special needs to have a prom night experience, centered on God’s love for people with special needs. Tim Tebow was one of my favorite football players until he took down the Steelers in the playoffs in 2012, where he just so happened to throw for 316 yards, average 31.6 yards per completion and 3.16 yards per rush exactly 3 years after first writing John 3:16 on his eye black. Tim Tebow is currently playing professional baseball after his football career has ended. But he is always working to proclaim the good news and help those in need. Tim is an entrepreneur that many athletes can relate to because of his love of Christ. His core belief is to Love God and Love People because we are not only called to love God and love people, but to carry out The Great Commission and share the eternal message of Jesus Christ and the Gospel.
