In a world overwhelmed with stimulus and distractions, it’s so difficult to stay focused on the things that matter. Current generational trends indicate that Gen z is one of the most informationally advanced generations ever. Information is more accessible than ever. With this increase in accessibility young people are becoming increasingly aware of things that in the past, parents had far more control over. For example, parents used to be able to control the content their children would be exposed to in movies, media and other forms of social interaction. Times have changed.
Today, more children have their own personal smartphones, ipads, and other connected devices than ever before. These devices, although extremely useful, create a new problem that is becoming more relevant every day. Parents are largely unequipped to combat the issues coming with the cultural shift.
Summit Basecamp began it’s ministry in the last five years and over those years they’ve been able to help change so many lives and bring the truth of the Bible into the conversations between parents and their children. They do this by offering online classes that people can “tune in to”. The classes are typically done by intellectual scholars in the respective field the topic is focused on.
This company looked into the world and rather than get discouraged and give up, they dug in and got their hands dirty and the result is incredibly encouraging.
