You may have heard of Steven Curtis Chapman – a Christian musician who wrote classics like “Dive,” “The Great Adventure,” and “I Will Be Here.” He has won an American Music Award, 5 Grammy Awards, and 59 GMA Dove Awards, making him gospel music’s most awarded artist.

But you may not have known that Steven and his wife have started an organization called Show Hope, which is driven by the vision to see all orphans find a home. After their first experience with adoption, Steven and Mary Beth found that there was a stirring in their hearts to help the rest of the children who didn’t have a place to call home.

Show Hope is a ministry that seeks to holistically tackle the many struggles associated with adoption. The cornerstone of their work is adoption aid grants. The couple learned that cost was a very real barrier in the process of adoption, so their organization seeks to help those families who are seeking to adopt, but struggling with this financial barrier.

Show Hope also provides training and resources to help families who have just adopted to show them how to best help the children they have adopted, as there are still many struggles after a child finds a home. Often times, a child has experienced abuse, trauma, neglect, or early-attachment injuries, and these wounds still need to be cared for after they have found a loving home. Show Hope provides practical training by hosting conferences for families and church workers to help children after the process of adoption so they can grow into all they were meant to be.

This organization does this and so much more – including building care centers that have helped more than 2,700 children and creating student initiative programs to help younger generations get involved in the hard but joyful work of helping children all over the world find a place to call home.
