Samaritan’s Purse: An Entrepreneurial Nonprofit

Samaritan’s Purse is a well known nonprofit Christian organization. This organization is best known for their amazing ministry “Operation Christmas Child” in which 10.6 million Christmas presents are sent across the world to underdeveloped countries. In addition to sending Christmas gifts, “Operation Christmas Child” also spreads the gospel to millions of people every year. This follow-up is centered around a Christian education and teaches each child about the Gospel. Samaritan’s Purse is not only making a huge impact through this incredibly impressive ministry, but also through the ever-changing projects that they do in addition to “Operation Christmas Child”. These projects, right now, include aid in Australia after the wildfires, sight restoration in Sudan, aid in the Philippines following earthquakes, and so much more! In every area that Samaritan’s Purse aids, they bring the good news of the Gospel with them. Not only that, but Samaritan’s Purse is ever-changing depending on the needs of the world at any given moment! This is extremely entrepreneurial of them and something that many nonprofits fail to do. 1. I love to hear non profits that stick to Christian ministries and evangelism. This is very important especially to people that need help, like the kids and Australia. They wonder where the nice gesture and physical present comes from and the answer is in the box, Jesus Christ. I love how there’s more explanation of the gospel inside the box to.

  2. Hi Jael, this is a very interesting and motivating nonprofit organization. It’s amazing how much the gifts impact these kids lives and how much the materials will do as well.

  3. I think its cool that they found a need in kids lives and found a way to show God’s love through it. I also really love how long and consistently they have been doing things like Operation Christmas Child. Its incredible the scale and preparation some churches and organizations go to each year to ensure that kids are able to learn about Gods love for them each Christmas.
