Since being a senior and living in the apartments, every week I am at the store buying groceries. Because eggs are a staple to have in the refrigerator, my roommates and I are going through about two dozen a week. One day as I was taking my time cooking, I read the label across the egg carton and noticed a Bible verse, Psalm 118:24, “This is the day that the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it.” I was in shock because I had never noticed it before the past 4 months, but also so encouraged what this brand has done, so I decided to do a little research.
Rose Acre Farms is the leading egg producer in the United States… and here they are openly promoting God’s word. On their website, they share a little background story of why that verse was chosen and how it stands today. The founder David W. Rust found great hope and encouragement in Psalm 118:24 and decided to produce packaging that included the message. The website reads, “… It has always garnered letters of sincere appreciation from customers all across the USA as a positive message of hope.”
Forty three years later and the powerful verse remains on all their carton of eggs. Now, I love when it’s time to buy eggs because I can see that sweet and gentle reminder. I am not the only one either because according to Aldi’s website, it has been addressed that many people have reached out with positive feedback and a few negatives. The ironic thing is compared to the other brands, Rose Acre Farm eggs are the cheapest so even people who don’t like their company can not resist the saving value.
This company did such a minor thing to be Kingdom growers and I can only imagine the impact it has had on the millions of people who have bought their eggs.
