Not every business is meant to have a blatant redemptive impact. If there is an easy way to do so, and you feel called to trying to do something specific with your business go for it. But not every business HAS to be this way or needs to feel guilty about not having a specific redemptive mission. However, every business SHOULD have redemptive visions or values. As Christians we should strive to make every aspect of our life in unison with what what God calls us to do — and this includes business. Every thought and action, should be taken in the light of making God proud and showing his grace and glory to the rest of the world. As an entrepreneur, you can shape what your business is all about, what you value in your business, what the atmosphere is like within the business, how you treat your customers & your employees, and the image you set. How do you want to be seen as a company? Do you want to be seen as a trustworthy, selfless company, that goes above and beyond or as one that just exists to make some cash and offer a decent product or service? Redemptive entrepreneurship doesn’t always have to be about the mission and some big thing you do with your company, you could make a huge difference simply by setting the example for how Christians should live and how Jesus lived. Showing others that we are different as people as entrepreneurs or any other job we have is what we are called to do, so while we might not always have to have a big redemptive mission addition to our companies, we should always take a redemptive mindset and towards the values, vision, and purpose of why you are running the business.
