When doing business, many entrepreneurs will blend their faith with their business. Others will blend social actions with their commercial business. When a company blends the commercial actions of their business with their social actions, they act philanthropically. When a company blends their Christian faith with their commercial actions and acts in a manner that is good and right, they act ethically. Finally, when a company blends their Christian faith with their social actions, they act spiritually.

When redemptive entrepreneurs start their businesses, they must intersect their business and faith. When doing business, Christians must decide how they would like to represent their beliefs in their work. Will their company be one like Chick-fil-a, who plays Christian music and offers friendly service? Will your company print Bible verses on your packaging like In-Out-Burger? Or will your company just operate as a normal company and will the Christian just do all their work for the glory of God. For redemptive entrepreneurs, this is something that each entrepreneur will have to decide for his or her self what their company will look like.

However, a Christian entrepreneur decides to blend their faith in their work and answer their call, they should do it in manner that glorifies God. When redemptive entrepreneurs do their work, they should have the goal of furthering the kingdom of God, while blending the social and the commercial aspects of the business no matter what their line of work is.

For Christians who work for a larger corporation, there are limits to how much we display our faith in the work place. When we display our faith in the work place, it should be through our actions and attitude. One of example of how a Christian should act in a large corporation is that of Dave Butler. Dave Butler is a Logistics Manager Royal Philips, who has over 2,500 people under his management. The way Dave Butler presents his beliefs and opportunities to share the gospel with people he works with, is by doing something that he calls “Inviting the Conversation.” Dave puts a small glass cross on the center of his desk, and is something that is hard to miss, to communicate to people that he is a Christian. By having this small cross on his desk, Dave has invited people to have a conversation about the cross on his desk, and hopefully be able to share the gospel with them. Ultimately, Dave Butler said, that he wants his everyday life to reflect the light of Christ, so that others will see a difference in him, and want the relationship with Christ that he has.
