Jonas Paul eyewear is a stylish eyewear company for children. Their goal is to help kids feel comfortable, confident, and stylish, and to help prevent childhood blindness around the world. Jonas Paul is partnered with nonprofits like Vitamin Angel, and CBM International to make a redemptive impact with each pair of glasses sold. So far, they have helped almost one hundred thousand children internationally to preserve their sight. With every pair of glasses sold, Jonas Paul makes a donation to Vitamin Angels to protect the sight of children at risk of vitamin A deficiency.
So how did this all start? The founder’s son, Jonas was born with an eye disorder called Peter’s Anomaly, which gave them a window into the world of blindness. After twenty-one surgeries, and many prayers, Jonas’ vision was restored to a functional level. Once his vision was functional, he still needed glasses. However, his parents were unable to find children’s glasses that were stylish, and he would feel good in. That’s when they launched Jonas Paul Eyewear. Their mission is to provide children with comfortable, stylish eyewear that they feel good in at a reasonable price.
Since starting their business in 2013, Jonas Paul has been featured on many media platforms, and received awards for social responsibility and design. Most importantly, they’ve been able to help numerous children around the world restore and preserve their vision.
Jonas Paul eyewear is proof that a for profit company can indeed be redemptive. They have a higher goal in mind than simply making money. By selling stylish comfortable eyewear for children at a reasonable price, they are showing the love of Christ to children in poverty around the world. They are donating a portion of their profit to other organizations with the ability to provide children with the supplements and vitamins they need in order to restore and keep their eyesight.
