How Little Moo Soft Blankets are Warming the Heart

How Little Moo Soft Blankets are Warming the Heart

Stephanie Lemieux, daughter of arguably the greatest hockey player in history, has created her own mission-based company called Little Moo. Through lots of research and R&D, Stephanie has not only created one of the softest blankets, but also created a huge impact for children in hospitals. Austin’s Playroom Project was started by the Lemieux family when Austin was prematurely born. The family had to stay in the hospital for a very long time making sure Austin stayed healthy. The hardship that this family felt while they were staying in the hospital was immense, and the environment needed a change. Hence, they started Austin’s Playroom Project where kids could play around and take their mind off of the pain and suffering that can go on throughout the hospital.

For Stephanie, this is something that lasted with her and she knew that one day when she was able to take her own entrepreneurial skills to create an impact in the world. Little Moo donates 5% of their annual profits to Austin’s Playroom Project and help the hospitals all over the world create better experiences for their patients. Recently, Stephanie has expanded into other products such as onesies, swimsuits and security blankets to further increase her market and grow her business to have the most impact that it can have.

This company is very incredible to me because of the redemptive aspect to why Stephanie is doing what she is doing. Her own experience with her brother and family being in the hospital was a very difficult experience and she knows that other families all over the world are experiencing this same thing. I am super thankful that I got my own Little Moo blanket because of the amazing quality and the mission that the money is going towards.

  1. Hello!
I really enjoyed your post; I think you did an amazing job. I have never heard of Little Moo before. However, I am aware that the Lemieux family donates to many charities and foundations. Creating soft blankets is a very clever way of reaching those who are suffering in hospitals. Blankets are a source of comfort, care, and stableness. The story that her family has in relationship with the hospital is very sad, but something beautiful bloomed from it. God is incredible in the ways he works. How He might take us through trials of our strength and grant us with a reward and an outlet to reach others. Also, thank you for incorporating a video in your post! I really enjoyed learning about this area of redemptive entrepreneurship and will continue to spread the word.

  2. Hello! I really enjoyed your post. It was very interesting that Stephanie Lemieux founded a company that sells soft blankets and other products to help children in hospitals. I really appreciated that the company donates 5% of their profits to Austin’s Playroom Project, which was started by Stephanie’s family to create a better environment for children in hospitals. Stephanie wants to use her skills to help others and create a positive impact in the world. It’s amazing that she’s using her own difficult experience to help others in need. I cannot think of companies that are much more redemptive than this. Thank you for putting this on my radar!
