One company I have been excited to about looking into recently is Hosanna Revival. They are a Christian company that has found a way to turn typical Christian Bibles and notebooks into works of art with various colors and designs. Their website says, “Hosanna Revival was created on the belief that as people of a broken and boring life, we are in desperate need of revival.” I believe this statement clearly points to the fact that they are a company focused on redemption which made me want to explore it more.
The way the company began is an interesting story. The founder, Katie, decided one day that she wanted to re-bind her old, boring black Bible and paint it, which sparked her idea for a business. She decided to start Hosanna Revival which would be a company focused on creating art that glorifies God and draws people to His Word.
It is crazy how in just a few short years the company skyrocketed and is now known by Christians across the United States. All businesses hoping to have redemptive impact should learn from Hosanna Revival because they clearly understand both the importance of innovation as well as glorifying God in and through business.
Jenna, thanks for sharing! I have seen quite a few companies that make Bibles that combine artwork and Scripture, and this company had a cool startup story. Its cool to see how people will read the Bible more when there is artwork involved, and I think that it is a good use of redemptive entrepreneurship. Revival will certainly come with companies like this.
