High Schoolers Around the Globe

High Schoolers Around the Globe

You were made for this. Well, at least you were made for a relationship with Jesus. That is what Young Life is attempting to tell every high school, middle school, and special needs student around the globe.  Over 100 countries have Young Life in them. And more than 2 million kids are being reached out to by volunteer Young Life leaders and staff.

Young Life is one of the most entrepreneurial ministries out there.  Constantly growing, innovating, and finding new ways to raise money to support this ministry, leaders have found very creative ways to be entrepreneurs.  Getting kids to the infamous Young Life camp is no easy task.  Fundraisers are necessary to raise and pay for kids who cannot afford the several hundred dollar camp in the US.  Measures are taken such as selling ice cream sandwiches, car washes, selling pies, Christmas wreaths and so much more.  On top of that getting to know kids where they are has to be very strategic and entrepreneurial.  If you want to be humbled I would recommend becoming friends with some high schoolers and check out Young Life, because we were all made for this.

  1. I agree that young life has to have an innovative/entrepreneurial mindset when dealing with this kind of demographic. The trends in different cultures are always changing, especially in the generations that are in middle and high school. We need to keep up with this everchanging characteristic by innovating how we express the gospel. I’m not saying that we need to change the gospel, not at all, but changing the way in which we communicate it to people.
