Haven of Hope Global Ministries

A great example of an organization that is having a redemptive global impact, is Haven of Hope Global Ministries. Haven of Hope Global Ministries is based in State College, Pennsylvania, where it began as a ministry of State College Christian Church in 2007. Now a nonprofit organization, they are blessed by the ongoing partnership of individuals, churches, and schools in Pennsylvania and around the United States. In making a global redemptive impact, they are dedicated to offering hope and initiating change in impoverished communities of Zambia and Uganda. Their purpose is to intentionally serve the poor, orphaned, and vulnerable, addressing both their spiritual and physical needs. Through Haven of Hope’s child sponsorship program, about 150 Zambian students are currently receiving an education, and about 200 Ugandan children are being served as well.

I am aware of Haven of Hope Global Ministries because my family is involved with the organization, with their child sponsorship program. Also, in the late 2000s, my Dad went on a missions trip to Zambia. I admire the redemptive work that Haven of Hope is doing for the advancement of God’s kingdom. Also, I understand there are many other child sponsorship programs, so I am not proclaiming their organization any better than another. I just really appreciate the work that they are doing, as a locally based organization, and that their work is simply another key example of sharing the love of Christ with people, who have thoughts and dreams like you and me, in a humble and redemptive way.

You can follow the organization on Facebook and Instagram, at Haven of Hope Global.

Also, they pretty frequently give updates on how God is making a redemptive impact. Below is an example, with their February 2023 ministry update. In that update, is also a link to their Winter 2023 Newsletter.
