Hagans Christian Church

Hagans Christian Church

For my Entrepreneurship and the Mission of the Church class, myself and a few other students had the opportunity to work on a project together. The project was assisting Hagans Christian Church in West Virginia with updating some of their technology and streaming resources, creating a new website for them to use, and updating and adding continuity to their logo. With this project complete, something that really stood out to me was the dedication and commitment by the church’s pastor and staff to improve their resources, and their emphasis on serving their community and spreading the Gospel through these resources. The church’s pastor, pastor Isaac works not only as a pastor but as a police officer as well, where he further serves his community through his work. Pastor Isaac’s passion for spreading the Gospel and improving his church for his community, and his willingness to use innovative methods and technology to make this happen was encouraging to see. Pastor Isaac and his staff showed a very redemptive entrepreneurial mindset in how they tackle running their church. Getting to meet with pastor Isaac and his staff, see the work they are doing in their church, and assisting with this work in the ways we were able was an incredible experience and a pleasure.

  1. This church really is an inspiration. While I did not have the privelege of seeing their congregation, I could see the passion and love for his community that Pastor Isaac had. I think if they are given more direction on having a strong web presence and branding, they could become a very prominant church.

  2. This was really neat to hear about, both through this post and your presentation in class. I think it was a prime example of how important it is for churches of any size to be thinking entrepreneurially and stewarding their resources well, not matter what kind of/how many resources they may find themselves possessing. Hagan’s Christian Church is an example of striving to be faithful with little, and I think it is very admirable.
