Giving keys

Giving keys

When I think of redemptive Entrepreneurship one of the first companies that come to mind is The giving keys. The company uses old keys that look unique and imprint inspirational words into the base of them like Love, Believe, strength, etc. The giving keys have added a pay-it-forward type of approach to their business. This means that you would purchase a key from them and give it to someone that might need a little bit of encouragement meant by the word that is imprinted on it. Giving keys will then donate a portion of the profits to an organization called Chrysalis which provides jobs for homeless people who need a second chance at life. The remarkable thing is that they will also hire homeless people to construct the keys to give them a second chance as well.

The Giving Keys Courts Awareness With New Campaign Ahead of Pop-Ups – WWD

The Giving Keys is a fashion brand with a powerful message of hope and empowerment. Each piece of jewelry features a word or phrase, and wearers are encouraged to pass it on when they have fully embraced the message. The company also has a commitment to social responsibility, with the jewelry made by people transitioning out of homelessness and profits going to organizations supporting those in need. By wearing and sharing a Giving Key, you are demonstrating your commitment to making a positive difference in the world.

I believe that every company should look at what the giving keys are doing because they are truly impacting the world in more than one way. And when your venture is to make the world a better place then money will come with that.

  1. Giving keys is such a unique business model per being able to give the keys to other people. As well as them helping other people with finding new jobs.

  2. Hey Brendan, great post man I also really love this mission and I think the giving keys is such an amazing way to take keys that have no meaning or purpose and to totally reshape them to have meaning and purpose.
