My family friends Jim and Amy Schneider began an eyewear company in 2008 called Eyes of Faith Optical. Their goal was simple, to create an eyewear company that shares the message of God to anyone who wears their glasses. This was a big step for them, but they saw a great opportunity in the optical industry because there were no faith-based brands present. The way they share Christ through their frames are simple, their frames are named after the Biblical scripture on the inside of them. For example, the frames that I wear in class are called “Reflect.” The Bible verse inside of the frame is 2 Corinthians 3:18 “…see and reflect the glory of the Lord.” Not only do they share scripture through their frames, they are also involved in missions to provide eyewear to people around the world, also to build homes for orphans and widows at Delilah’s Point Hope Village.
What I think is great about this brand, and Jim and Amy is that it is so evident of them submitting to God’s plan and seeing where He will take this brand. Let me tell you, God always provides far more than we could ever imagine. They have been able to sell their eyewear all over the country, provide eyewear to people all over the world, all while staying grounded in Christ. Eyes of Faith is a huge testament to trusting in the Lord and seeing where He will take you. Huge fan of them, that’s why I have three pairs of glasses from them!
