Entrepreneurship is an embodiment of God

Entrepreneurship is an embodiment of God

Our whole scope in taking this class is to see how we can combine the elements of the mission of the church with entrepreneurship. And what is the mission of the church? It is to restore the world back to the sinless glory that was found in Eden before the fall. And will we ever get fully back to that point? No, not with sin still apparent in the world. However, we are called to still be redemptive. To still work to restore the world and to spread God’s glory to the ends of the earth.

So, entrepreneurship. What is it? Yes it’s the move to create a business. Yes, it’s a chance an innovation that will change the lives of all those around us. But what really is entrepreneurship? It is the avenue by which we can physically and socially represent the qualities, glory, power, and love of God through ourselves, our employees, and the talented work that we provide through His blessing. Entrepreneurship is an opportunity for a physical, tangible representation of the Lord. Everyone loves to see new inventions, new innovations. Everyone loves to buy things that make their lives easier or better or unique. People love to be fulfilled. And who fulfills us and blesses us? God. Therefore, every piece of entrepreneurship, selling, and business is the embodiment or promise of God. He embodies creation. Creation of humans, talents, and ideas. And He works through each of use to then fulfill his promise of daily  blessing and value to other people’s life

  1. I really really like this “Entrepreneurship is an opportunity for a physical, tangible representation of the Lord!” It’s what is said in Colossians- do everything for the glory of God. And by creating a business, we can use it to glorify God in everything we do. Even if the business is not “Christian” we are still called to do God’s work in the world, and I really liked what you shared about it!

  2. Great post! Thank you for sharing this, I really appreciate what you have to say. I think embodying entrepreneurship in your everyday lifestyle sounds funny to do but really has a great message behind it. God works through us and others can see him shinning through if we focus on a redemptive entrepreneurship mindset.
