Endurance Leadership is an organization made up of mission minded individuals that focus on the development of others bringing them to a position of preparedness for leadership roles. The group has several different redemptive focuses, including reaching and assisting the homeless, world missions work, and medical missions trips. The head of Endurance Leadership is a former pastor of mine who had a significant impact on my life. Will Cravens is a pastor, missionary, author, and leader. He has been traveling the nation and the world by himself and with groups of leaders to bring about the redemptive purposes of the kingdom of God. One of the most impactful movements that he has begun is a ministry to the homeless. His first trip to San Diego he inserted himself and lived homeless with those of the city to try to find a friend that he grew up with who had disappeared. Cravens was so impacted by the experience that he established the homeless ministry branch of endurance leadership. For years now teams have returned to San Diego and other cities living the lives of the homeless for a time, hearing their stories and sharing the gospel. Just recently endurance leadership has set up the first ‘rescue’ operation. They have arranged for one of the homeless that they have built a relationship with to live in various homes in the Northern Virginia are for twelve months with no cost to this individual. During this time, he and members of the endurance team will be searching for employment with the goal of brining this man to self-dependency at the end of the twelve months. Will and his team hope to continue doing this with others that they have built relationships with and future individuals they come into contact with.
