There are four mindsets that we ought to have when are trying to spread the gospel to those around us. However, it is critical to have these values when we are establishing a gospel-minded organization. They are the following…

  1. Embody the gospel.
  2. Seek empathy.
  3. Prototype everything.
  4. Multiply your impact.

Embodying the gospel is– at least in my opinion– the most important mindset to have out of these four. By embodying the gospel as a Christian business it lays a firm foundation on which your business is able to operate. This does not always mean that you have an abundance of success by doing this alone, but it will make your establishment easier. By embodying the gospel, you are not just seeking to improving the bottom line but rather to benefit someone or something other than you and your business.

This does not mean you have to have a non profit business and you are not able to make a profit. Your focus is just shifted to help others in some way when you are doing business. Praxis does a wonderful job of helping companies find this firm foundation and helps them succeed as a gospel minded business or organization. These companies are very meaningful about their work and decisions. These can include higher pay to workers, Bible verses on products, or slow and intentional expansion. A company who does this very well is In-and-Out Burger. They have been doing this since 1948.

These gospel minded business need to embody the gospel like In-and-Out Burger or Chick-fil-A or they will not truly be a gospel minded business and the foundation on which they sit will fail them.
