Many people say they are not creative. They consider themselves incapable of generating a new idea or making something brilliant for people to enjoy. This is a very limiting belief that does not make sense. Part of God’s being is creativity. He surprises over and over again throughout the Bible in the way He works. He innovates and presents new ideas all the time. And because people are made in the image of God, they have this same capacity to create as He does. The sooner we learn this, the sooner we are able to remove this limiting belief and step out into a new world of creativity.
In entrepreneurship, often the hardest part is developing a new idea for a business. Finding a real problem can be a challenge but is certainly able to be overcome. There are methods for innovating and creating. Everyone is created uniquely and thinks differently. It is critical to tap into these differences and work together to discover something new. A business becomes stagnant when it only looks to top management for direction. Ventures that seek input from all employees will thrive. In this way, people function as a unit and the community God has intended is extended into the workplace.
One of the most incredible things about this world is that it is built on relationships. A strong interconnectedness is a characteristic of God and helps humanity thrive on all levels, including entrepreneurship and business. If we seek to mimic the qualities of God in the different parts of our lives, we can find success in unexpected ways.
This is a great article and is a great tie in with the Entrepreneurship Mission of the Church class. I think we can clearly see God’s creativity in the world around us and if we apply some of these principals to our lives it can lead to great success. Great article.
