Compassion International

Compassion International is an awesome company that has the goal of “releasing children from poverty in Jesus’ name.” With Compassion, people are able to “sponsor” a child and provide financial support for that child in underdeveloped countries across the world. Compassion has a church focus, meaning that they are committed to sharing the good news of the Bible to each of the children that they bring under their care worldwide.

Not only are the children taken care for spiritually, but they are cared for emotionally and physically as well. Compassion partners with local churches and communities in underdeveloped countries in order to establishes bases of operation to make real, palpable difference in communities that need it the most. The child sponsoring program is an amazing program that can change the future outlook of many children that need it the most.

Donors are able to write to the children that they sponsor and receive letters back from the children. Compassion also provides donors with pictures and updates on the amazing progress that these children are making. This helps to keep the donor and the child or children that they sponsor connected, and they can both see each other grow over the years. Personally, my family sponsors children in Africa and it is amazing to see the spiritual and physical development of these children. Compassion International is an amazing company that is making a real difference in needy communities by exposing them to the good news of our Lord Jesus Christ and creating lasting impact in these communities.
