Clean Juice: Faith-based, Holistic, Organic

A couple of weeks ago I was delivery driving for Uber Eats. When I show up at a restaurant to pick up an order, I will sometimes order food for myself when the place looks elite. In this instance, I ordered an avocado turkey wrap from Clean Juice in Pittsburgh. I will say, the ingredients are delicious, especially the fresh mozzarella and Himalayan pink salt. I was having a fantastic experience within the restaurant, but my expectations were blown away when I saw one thing in particular.

On the side of the restaurant, by some beautiful windows looking out on the bustling Pittsburgh city streets, was a jar for prayer requests. Customers are invited to write down their requests and I’m assuming that after each day or week, the employees read and pray over them. This is a beautiful example of a company that chooses to actively love its customers in small but significant ways. Clean Juice writes on their about page, “At Clean Juice, we’re a faith-based franchise that believes in a lot of things: in healthy, organic food choices, in hard work and determination, and in a holistic approach to living that means the integration of mind, body, and spirit.”

I am a fan. Their products (juice cleanses), food (delicious wraps and paninis), and mission to love and serve their customers is a recipe for redemption. I wonder how many people have been impacted by the seemingly small act of having a prayer request jar?
