Cia Cloud- Making advances in the area of digital ministry
When you go Instagram or even Tik Tok, how many times do you see a Christian video pop up on our for you pages? I know that I’ve seen a lot over the past few weeks and one of the most influential content creators, Cia Cloud, has been making advances in the area of digital ministry.
If you haven’t heard of her, Cia Cloud is a content creator that talks about “how faith connects with everyday culture”. Her videos help people to inspire people to get into reading the Bible more, and to even help with our everyday lives when we’re having a rough day and want to feel closer to Jesus. Her videos are also relatable for many Generation Z individuals and shows how our walk with Christ isn’t perfect. She highlights how Jesus isn’t looking for perfect people, but He’s been looking for us and calling us to come back home to Him. Cia also has “over 1 million followers and 9 million monthly viewers” on her social media platforms. With such a huge audience online, she has been influential on reaching many people to share the gospel.
With the increased use of technology, it’s now easier than ever to share the gospel and to plant the seed in someone’s heart about God and who He is. With many users on Instagram, Tik Tok, Facebook, Snapchat, X, etc., utilizing these platforms to spread the gospel and inspire others is exactly what Cia aims to do. Carrie Headington, who is the Founder of The Good News Initiative has even said that “Cia Cloud is one of the most significant voices for her generation. Cia communicates the good news of Jesus Christ with creativity, depth, and power…”. I think that this quote is a good representation of how important spreading the gospel is, and how one person can help to do God’s work.

As someone who first heard about the basics of the gospel through social media, I am a huge supporter of digital ministry. I think that there is no better way to connect with Gen Z then where through they spend the majority of their time, which is on screens. I have had the chance to see Cia’s content and meet her in person a couple of times, and she is a tremendous example of how simple sharing the love of Jesus is and how it can help connect people.
Digital ministry has definitley made an impact in modern society. Especially with apps and other books such as daily devotionals, providing a quick common 30 second video on social media platforms has made a large impact today for individuals.
