Christian Royer: Eventide Investments

This is a very interesting redemptive business that invests into businesses that are making a societal impact. They are intentional with who they put money into not only to help those investing, but the business as well. It is such a good example of how to show love to social entrepreneurial minded businesses. Every investment you make is through them is truly making the world a better place. They have specific investment ideals when they go about their business, and they haven’t changed since the start of the company. These are what they truly believe help the world become a better place. These are the 5 core values their company lives and breathes. The first is those that care about the dignity of people and that all are created masterpieces by God. Another is any business that serves as a place that serves justice and peace for its customers. The other three really care about the family/community, responsible management, and environmental stewardship. All these areas are so vital in having a kingdom mindset in business and attributes in people God cares about. They have three main types of business they want to invest in because of these values are one that address important human needs such as curing diseases, accessibility to water, or driving new tech. Another is ones that create positive impact in an industry and the last is any admirable company. They believe that understanding who people are and their value helps them have an edge in investing. Eventide has many certified people from all kinds of fields to help their venture’s credibility and success. If I was investing into something I might as well, make it something that is going to help the world not hurt it. Their approach to investing is such a fresh take on an industry that can be cutthroat, and depressing is so refreshing to me.
