Ahhhh Chris Pratt. What a guy. Chris is one of America’s favorite actors, he is funny, good looking, and a Christian!! That last attribute is one that many people probably don’t know about Chris, but it is definitely one of the most important things. In class we watched a clip of Chris Pratt on a very liberal talk show, and how he openly talked about his faith, scripture, and church. Aside from that, there are also many other things that Chris has been open about.
With all of this to say, Chris Pratt is very open about his faith. When we see him as a silly character on TV we never really think about who he is in “real life.” He is ultimately making a stand for all Christians, and puts his fame in jeopardy for something he believes in, and I think that is a lesson we can all learn from and something we can incorporate it into our personal lives

I appreciate him standing up for his church. It is very easy to encounter defamation as a celebrity and defending anything about your faith puts you in jeopardy. It is this same attitude that allows Christian business influencers to change the landscape and thinking of their industry.
To stand up for one's faith is hard, especially in today's culture and I appreciate Chris for that. Celebrities have a greater chance at changing media and how media views things; for example, the Kardashian-West's have come out as Christians recently (however I tend to doubt this) but we should be careful in truly accepting everyone who says they are Christian as Christian, we are to keep an eye out for people who care for their own view of God and not the true God
Man do I wish you would've linked his speech from a couple years ago. It is a great speech that is so funny yet so truthful. It would be interesting to comment on the roles he has chosen since becoming a follower of Christ. I would love to see comments on how his professional life has or has not changed since this large life change. I am not a judge of ones heart so as long as they are in the corner for Jesus, I am also in that corner. I think Chris has shown us through public speech that what he believes is that of the redemption Jesus offers us. So awesome to see someone take a very unpopular stance to support Christ, it is not easy to do as many of us know.
I personally never knew this about Chris. Typically when I think of a celebrity, I immediately think they love to party and challenge God's will. But this is very refreshing to hear about.
