Chick-fil-A’s choices

Chick-fil-A’s choices

The beloved fast-food restaurant Chick-fil-A has been the topic of controversy and debate due to their biblical stance on marriage, however, that is not all the reason for the debate and controversy. In fact, they have stopped giving to two different groups who have supported anti-LGBTQ. Chick-fil-A has been seeing resistance when opening restaurants, in the Buffalo airport, in the British area, and Toronto. Many people that are for LGBTQ rights are saying that is a step in the positive direction, that the chain is closing connections with the anti-LGBTQ groups. However, this a step in the right direction for societal inclusiveness but is it a right step for spreading of the gospel message?

  1. This is a super interesting topic as many people have been talking about whether or not this is something that Chick-Fil-A should have done. Personally I wish that they would have “stuck to their guns” and not given up their donations to these companies even though they were getting a lot of flack for it. However, it does make sense from a business standpoint for them to stop donating in order to possibly increase their customer base.

  2. It is an interesting and pivotal time for Chic-Fil-A. What has made them so successful was their target market and extremely loyal customers. Not all, but a lot of their business comes from conservative Christians. I don’t believe this is smart for them and I think it will end up hurting them in the long run.
