In class today, while thinking about some possible sponsors or support for our nonprofit organization, Professor Sweet told me about Wesley Family Services. This inspired me to look further into them and what I found has truly inspired me, and I will definitely be taking notes from them from here and now on. The Wesley Family Service is a Christian-based organization that is here to empower people by helping and caring for them in every way possible. As said by them “Wesley Family Services offers a mission-centric approach that is founded on our care model, Quality Whole Person Care (QWPC). In order to most effectively provide, recommend, prescribe, and facilitate care, we examine an individual’s overall well-being.” They are built on five key factors. First is transformation which “begins with the truth that every person has a unique gift, and we will empower them with the right care at the right time to become who they wish to be.” then Empathy which begins with the truth that every person is valuable and serving them starts with truly hearing their hopes and dreams and needs. Third, Excellence which they will strive to do their best for every person. Fourth, Innovation in which “acknowledging and including perspectives that are different from our own will help us develop creative and practical ways to find solutions. Finally, Inspiration which they state, “comes from the truth that together we are stronger and more resilient.”
overall, I think it is important to take these values to heart whenever starting your own redemptive business.
