In sports and entertainment, I’ve found it is more likely to find Christianity within motorsports in particular. The company Interstate Batteries is a company that, predictably, creates batteries for cars. Involved in NASCAR and in every-day cars, the company’s website reads “Interstate Batteries is a mission-driven company fueled by our Purpose (to glorify God) and guided by our Values: Love, Servant’s Heart, Excellence, Courage, Community, Joy, Integrity”, stating that it’s “what makes us inherently us” (https://www.interstatebatteries.com/about/our-culture). Their website features a tab titled “Chaplain’s Group”, boasting 1 Peter 4:10 as their scripture basis: “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms”. Having their faith so open on their website and in their purpose for over 70 years is inspiring to those who may be nervous to put their own faith on display in their business.

I love how even though they don’t necessarily external expression of their faith, they openly celebrate the business’ purpose to glorify God and serve others, an inspiring stance for businesses considering the public expression of their faith.
