Who knew it. Alaska Air is yet another company with Christ at the center of their mission. Sure their goal is to fly people all across the country and make a profit but they also care about people in a deeper context. The company tradition dating back several decades has an inspirational notecard served with every breakfast. Each notecard has a passage from the Old Testament written on it. Recently a columnist by the name of Patrick Smith, took issue with the harmless passages written on the cards. In response, Alaska Air basically said that the cards are meant to serve as a gesture of thanks. They recognize that their customer base is quite diverse but most people appreciate the small messages. And for those that dislike them, Alaska Air said you can just choose not to read it because they are not going anywhere anytime soon.
