Air1 Radio

Air1 is a Christian radio network that is having a kingdom impact by making advances in the area of digital ministry. The radio station first launched in 1986, under its former name of K-LORD. In 1995, K-LORD changed its name to what it is today, Air1 network. Around this time, Air1’s sister network, K-LOVE, was also launched. Today, Air1 is not only having a kingdom impact through their ministry of Christian music, but also through their ability to make their station known across the country. As of 2023, the network has 334 FM stations and translators in 45 U.S. states, American Samoa, Puerto Rico, and the District of Columbia.

Along with their station being made available across the country, Air1 is a non-profit ministry and is listener-supported. Air1’s mission is to “create compelling media that inspires and encourages you to have a meaningful relationship with Christ.” Their beliefs are grounded on the Bible and the truth of the gospel. Also, they have 5 core values:

– Trusting in God

– Creating an extraordinary impact

– Being passionate, creative, and having fun

– Learning, improving, and growing

– In His strength

I grew up listening to Air1 and also their sister station, K-Love, on the radio. Until researching, I never knew those stations had a connection, with both being under the Educational Media Foundation (EMF). Nonetheless, I have appreciated the positive Christian music that both stations have played on their stations. Looking more into Air1 showed me that they really are a ministry, for they provide uplifting music on the radio and encouraging content on their website and social platforms. Ultimately, I appreciate the work they are doing because music as a ministry is becoming more overlooked in our culture today. And from my perspective, Christian music shouldn’t be overlooked because of the powerful message it brings, and the amazing impact it can have, such as the impact it has had on me and my family.

Wherever you are, you can listen to Air1 online through their main website or with their app. Also, Air1 is available on other radio streaming services such as iHeartRadio, TuneIn, and even with the Roku app. Besides listening to Air1 on the radio, you can find Air1’s content on all the major platforms – Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and Twitter.
