AhniArt was started by Amy Kirk before 2010 and was first started to fundraise money to bring home her adopted son from Ethiopia. Amy started by selling painted canvases that included scripture as a way to share the Good News with others through beautiful pieces of art. As time has moved on, and technology has advanced, Amy began digitizing her art in order to mass produce prints of her missional art. In order to boost promotions, she later opened an Etsy shop in 2016. She has over 6,000 sales up to date. Now, her art is being sold in Pop Shelf stores through an outsourcer. Amy’s missional heart to beautifully portray the Gospel through her art is a great example of a redemptively minded business. Amy uses Instagram and Facebook as her main sources of advertisement for her company. Through her social media accounts, her company has expanded greatly, her number of customers has increased and the hearts of people whose lives have been touched have also grown. My life has personally been touched by the mission and vision of AhniArt because I am also art minded and have a heart for the gospel. So, having the inspiration from AhniArt to use art as a mission piece of gospel love, I have realized that I can also use the artistic gifts that God has given me to further God’s kingdom. Many have been touched by Amy’s company. For example, one of her customer’s commented both on the quality and meaning of her product when they reviewed, “Beautiful sticker with great message. Glad I purchased it.” AhniArt is a great example of a company that seeks to combine business with the gospel in order to bless people through high quality products that also spread the greatest news the world has ever heard.
