When taking a flight to another state or country, what service are you expecting? Maybe you’re thinking of just getting peanuts or drinks for free or even having flight attendants who give exceptional service, but not when you take a flight with Alaska Air. Alaska Air is a company that is a living proof of spreading the word of Jesus Christ to the world. When taking a flight with Alaska Air, one prominent detail you can tell with each flight is that you will be served breakfast with an inspirational passage from the old testament. Not only does a bible verse help struggling people feel loved, but bible verses help people consider how they are living and what their relationship is with God. Alaskan Air is innovating the air travel business with making sure their customers feel comfortable not only physically, but spiritually.
Sadly, after reading another article on Alaskan Air, I came across something that said this company ended their 30 year tradition of serving a passage with every breakfast and that is heartbreaking to hear. After diving deeper into the article, I read that Alaskan Air ended their tradition due to customers complaints of religion and the verses in general. As Christians we are called to spread God’s word and reach many people even if it means losing friends, customers, or anyone who supports us. In the beginning, Alaskan Air had good intentions with reaching people but ultimately gave it up for business and profit.
