In a world were natural disasters can happen anywhere, there are businesses who fight back with help for communities and restoration. One of the companies is Team Rubicon. Since 2010 Team Rubicon has been restoring natural disaster areas all 
around the United States and overseas. They are a non profit organization that run off of donations and fundraising.
Team Rubicon serves all types of communities and areas. In 2016 62% of the household that they served did not have insurance, and the average income in each household was $51,000. They do their work 100% free to the people that they are trying to serve. They rely heavily on donations and support from other people and companies. They work with other companies to rebuild homes and with other services. They focus on long term serving in a particular region. 
Another interesting fact about Team Rubicon is that all of there staff are veterans and people who are more experienced with natural disaster help. These two types of people work together to make the world a better place in natural disaster restoration and support.
I’ve never heard of Team Rubicon, but it seems like a really incredible organization. They’re reaching the helpless and the hopeless in times when I’m sure every detail of life seems uncertain, which has to be an incredible opportunity for ministry. I love that the team is made up of veterans and others who have dealt with natural disaster reconstruction as well. So often veterans return and struggle to find “purpose” in normal living, so this seems to be an awesome outlet for them. Great article!
I love how this group goes toward the disaster to help and asks for nothing in return. The aftermath of a natural disaster can make that area dangerous and for them to risk their health to help those affected shows how much they care.
