On Goal is a non-profit that seeks to share God’s love, our purpose, and the love of soccer with kids all over the world. On their website they write, “On Goal Soccer began in 1985 when Tom Fite partnered with the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church to run a soccer camp in Milford, OH. Today On Goal is a 501c3 non-profit organization with 8 full-time staff partnering with churches throughout the United States and in the UK and Brazil to reach thousands of young people with the love of Jesus Christ.” Many of my guy friends in high school played for On Goal and through it they became great soccer players, amazing teammate, leaders, and grew in their relationship with the Lord. I think reaching kids for Christ through sports is amazing because you meet kids where they are through what they love. They host summer camps, and you can tryout to be on their teams. This is a wonderful redemptive entrepreneurship venture.
On Goal offers:
- The Competitive Soccer Club Passion FC
- Cincinnati Fire & Spirit High School Teams
- The Total Player Academy
- On Goal Soccer Camps
- On Goal Futsal
So they have expanded and they cater to so many different desires while holding their core goal. On Goal’s mission is as stated, “On Goal is a Christian soccer ministry focused on leading people toward life’s greatest goal – knowing Jesus!”
This is a ministry worth investing in because it ministers to kids through soccer and brings the purpose of life into their life.

I love sports ministries! You are so right, they meet young people right where they are at through what they love! Soccer is such an amazing vehicle and bridge for the gospel, I’ve seen many ministries use soccer to make an amazing impact for the Kingdom. Ministry models like this one need to be continually replicated across the globe.
