A couple of weeks ago I was delivery driving for Uber Eats. When I show up at a restaurant to pick up an order, I will sometimes order food for myself when the place looks elite. In this instance, I ordered an avocado turkey wrap from Clean Juice in Pittsburgh. I will say, the ingredients are delicious, especially the fresh mozzarella and Himalayan pink salt. I was having a fantastic experience within the restaurant, but my expectations were blown away when I saw one thing in particular.
On the side of the restaurant, by some beautiful windows looking out on the bustling Pittsburgh city streets, was a jar for prayer requests. Customers are invited to write down their requests and I’m assuming that after each day or week, the employees read and pray over them. This is a beautiful example of a company that chooses to actively love its customers in small but significant ways. Clean Juice writes on their about page, “At Clean Juice, we’re a faith-based franchise that believes in a lot of things: in healthy, organic food choices, in hard work and determination, and in a holistic approach to living that means the integration of mind, body, and spirit.”
I am a fan. Their products (juice cleanses), food (delicious wraps and paninis), and mission to love and serve their customers is a recipe for redemption. I wonder how many people have been impacted by the seemingly small act of having a prayer request jar?

This is such a creative way to engage with customers as a redemptive business! I think the prayer request jar makes the business's environment a lot more personal. It makes the owners'/employee's faith unapologetically obvious, but also immediately communicates the way they live out their faith--caring for others and growing in relationship with their community. Sounds like an awesome business that I'll have to check out!
This is, just like you said, a small, yet significant impact for a business! I think it is really awesome that they demonstrate their care for customers, as well as choose to give the glory to God! A prayer jar is such an easy thing to add to a restaurant and yet, incredibly impactful to use This! This is an amazing choice and a great example of showing care and love for their customers beyond a simple purchase!
It's interesting to see a Christian company integrate mind, body, and spirit into their business. This could potentially have a few different meanings but the fact that Clean Juice is a healthy restaurant is an interesting aspect that I believe adds to their mission! Even though a prayer request jar is a small thing, I'm sure it's created a great impact on many people, whether it's people curious about Christianity or someone battling through a trial and sees the Church supporting them in a way as such.
wow, I love this! and I love how you wrote this! This sis very interesting to know because I didnt even know that this business was faith-based! Not only is it healthy, but it also gives back to its community by allowing a jar for prayer requests for whoever needs some prayers! How wonderful :) This is a perfect example of showing God's love and grace towards us.
