Sometimes, a company’s redemptive aspects may slip right under our noses; whether that means it isn’t obvious enough or is just a reflection of society’s lack of attention to detail is up in the air—literally. Alaska Airlines was a company that, unknown to most, was evangelizing with every serving of breakfast on every single flight from the 1970’s until 2012. Each breakfast tray came with a notecard paired with an Old Testament Bible verse, usually a selection from the Psalms. While it is disappointing to note that this tradition ended in 2012, even something that once was can still be an avenue for new ideas that businesses with a redemptive mission can implement. A company with such a good reach to so many people in the same way that in airline is has great potential for redemptive actions.

Hi grace! I didn't know about this tradition of Alaska airlines, it's so cool to hear about it and impressive that it was done for so long. I agree it's real sad that it has stopped now but what a beautiful way to encourage travelers and perhaps even help to strike up conversations between travelers. It's such a simple way to bring the Word of God to people, and it's a really good, easy-to-implement idea for restaurants or business to adopt.
This is an incredible idea and not like most of the subtle ways that commercial evangelism occurs typically. I love this example and it must have been pretty effective.
Sometimes the little things that go unseen have the biggest impact. While not being to direct or open about it, still holding to the Christians's values and ideas is very value in today's non-Christian climate.
